Teaching third grade in my classroom is filled with excitement, curiosity, and hands-on learning. My teaching philosophy is driven from the Maya Angelou quote, "I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Students learn best when they are in a positive learning environment where they feel welcomed, comfortable, and safe with each other.

My philosophy of education is that all children deserve to have the opportunity to reach their full potential. That's in all areas of their lives whether its having to work on behaviors, academics, or perfecting a craft or gift they may have. I believe that each student should have the opportunity to surprise themselves in their success and for teachers to allow those moments inside and outside of the classroom. It is my desire to provide these opportunities for each student I come across. I will provide a safe environment, opportunities for success, failures, but most of all continued growth.
